Sudoku Woo ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices and rights you have. Sudoku Woo is a single-player Sudoku game for iPhone and iPad: you do not create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or contact details to play.

Who we are

Sudoku Woo is published by Dumitru Rogojinaru, an independent developer based in Moldova, who is responsible for the processing described here. You can reach us at dumitru.rogojinaru@icloud.com.

Information the app keeps

So the app works and remembers your progress, it saves:

• Game progress, saved puzzles, statistics, streaks and achievements
• App settings and your chosen theme
• Your coin balance, the items you have unlocked, and your progress in seasonal events
• Ad-frequency and daily-bonus timing so the experience stays fair

This data is stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit, so it syncs between your iPhone and iPad and survives a reinstall. Your private iCloud data belongs to your Apple Account: we cannot see or access it, and we do not run servers of our own that receive it.

The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read your streak and today's Daily Challenge from a storage area shared between the app and its widgets on your device. Nothing leaves your device for this.

Information collected by third parties

Some features rely on Apple and Google services that collect data under their own privacy policies:

• Purchases — In-app purchases (coin packs, Remove Ads, the Starter Pack and seasonal event passes) are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation that a purchase succeeded, never your payment card or billing details. See Apple's privacy policy.
• Advertising — We use Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier, IDFA, if you allow tracking), IP address, approximate location derived from it, device information, and ad-interaction data to deliver, measure and limit ads. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
• Game Center — If you use leaderboards or achievements, Apple's Game Center handles that data. Your scores on the Daily Challenge, Weekly Tournament and Total Score leaderboards are visible to other players under your Game Center name.
• iCloud — Syncing your progress uses Apple's iCloud under Apple's privacy policy, as described above.

Notifications

If you turn on Daily reminder or Weekly Tournament nudge in the app's Settings, the app schedules local notifications on your device: a daily reminder for the Daily Challenge, and a Sunday reminder before the Weekly Tournament resets. They are created on your device; no information is sent anywhere. You can turn them off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings ▸ Notifications.

Sharing

When you choose to share a result, the app opens the iOS share sheet with an image and a short message. You decide where it goes. The app only learns whether the share completed, so it can give the share bonus.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

• Run the game and save and sync your progress, settings, and purchases
• Show and measure ads, and let you remove forced ads
• Deliver in-app purchases and restore them across your devices
• Run leaderboards, achievements and seasonal events

The app contains no analytics or tracking tools of our own. If you have chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports, which we use only to fix bugs.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles ourselves.

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, the legal bases are: performing our agreement with you (running the game and delivering purchases), your consent (personalised ads and notifications), and our legitimate interest in funding a free game with non-personalised ads and keeping it working.

Advertising & tracking choices

• Apple's tracking prompt — iOS asks whether Sudoku Woo may track you across apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). If you allow it, ads may be personalised using your advertising identifier. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalised. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking.
• Google's consent form — In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form for ads on first launch. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Settings ▸ Privacy Options (Ads) in the app.

Buying "Remove Ads" (or the Starter Pack, which includes it) stops all forced ads, including banners and full-screen ads. Optional reward ads stay available only if you choose to watch them.

Children's privacy

Sudoku Woo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will help remove it.

Data retention & deletion

Your game data stays until you delete it. To delete it completely:

• Delete the app from your device, and
• Delete its iCloud data: iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage (or Manage Account Storage) ▸ Sudoku Woo ▸ Delete Data.

For data handled by Apple or Google (purchases, Game Center, advertising identifiers), manage or delete it through your Apple Account settings and Google's ad settings, or contact us and we will help direct your request. Your purchase history stays with Apple, so Remove Ads and other one-time purchases can be restored after you delete your data.

Data security

We rely on the security protections built into iOS and iCloud, including app sandboxing, device encryption and Apple's encryption of iCloud data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we keep data to the minimum needed to run the game.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. We honour these rights regardless of your location.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland (GDPR), you may:

• Access the personal data we hold and request a copy
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Withdraw consent at any time, for ads from Settings ▸ Privacy Options (Ads) and iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking
• Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority

If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA), you may:

• Know what personal information is collected and how it is used
• Request deletion or correction of your personal information
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — note that we do not sell your personal information
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

Because we do not hold your game data on servers of our own, most requests are fulfilled with the steps above. For anything else, contact us at the address below.

International users

Sudoku Woo can be used worldwide. Where data is processed by Apple or Google, it may be handled in countries other than your own, subject to their respective privacy frameworks and safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noted in the app.
